Deluxe Piedmont Organic Wines Hamper
Our new Piedmont organic wines hamper brings you a taste of this north-western corner of Italy. Along with Tuscany, Piedmont is considered to be one of the world’s finest wine regions. It’s the home of more DOCG wines than any other Italian region including incredibly renowned, robust reds such as Barolo and Barbaresco made entirely from the Nebbiolo grape as well as the lighter and more affordable Dolcetto and Barbera, easy to drink and to enjoy daily with meals. Piemontese whites (apart from the sweet 'Asti' and 'Moscato') are very elegant and firm and include Arneis and one of our favourites which we have included 'Gavi'.
Our three wines are carefully packed in a strong hamper box which is tied with a lovely ribbon. A gift message option is available at the checkout for you to send a personalised message to your recipient.

Massucco Gavi DOC Organic (750cl) Straw yellow in colour, this Gavi has a delicate, characteristic bouquet. The flavour is dry and elegant. Excellent as an aperitif, with appetizers and first courses of fish or shellfish. Should be served at 10-12 °C. Year 2018. Alcohol: 12%
Langhe Nebbiolo 'Coste' DOC (750cl) Nebbiolo is the grape behind Barolo and Barbaresco. It is also the main grape in this outstanding quality wine which is a great, budget-friendly alternative to those two famous reds. This gives it a spicy and slightly floral nose, with raspberries and a distinct freshness. On the palate there is loads of crunchy fruit, as well as firm tannins and a crisp acidity well integrated into the structure of this wine. Hand selected fruit, natural fermentation with no added sulfur, and 10 months in stainless steel before bottling and a fully organic vineyard results in a wine that is a stunning example of some of the best demarcated Nebbiolo in Barolo. Year: 2017. Alcohol 13%.
Massucco Barolo DOCG (750ml) Often described as Italy's greatest wine, Barolo is a red wine produced in the northern Italian region of Piedmont. Italy's Barolo wines are powerful and complex tannic, acidic reds. Barolo represents the top of Italy's designated wine appellations and one of its smallest. The 'Massucco' winery is known for producing wines enhancing the true nature of the grapes with purely natural products and methods. Barolo is made from Nebbiolo, a thick skinned grape that produces a brick red, light bodied wine, moderately high in alcohol. Our 2015 Barolo is red with some orange hints, fruity and floral on the nose, full bodied with notes of violet and vanilla. Alcohol: 14%
